Write down the most important or interesting points from article on human rights. Research a case of human rights abuse in an English speaking country in the last 100 years and be prepared to present your findings to the class orally.

Ab initio 2nd. year

Learn vocabulary from text B of IB paper 1 (May 2004). Learn verb endings for Preterite tense both regular and irregular but especially the regular. Quiz next class on vocab. and preterite. Yes, there will be another quiz on the preterite and, perhaps, even on that vocab. Use the grammar sites to practise your preterite.
Do ex.3,5,and 6 on pages 143, 144, and 145 of Captado. Study Gramática on p. 146.

If you want to get better:work on expanding your vocabulary. Try describing everything in your house room by room. You can always use a dictionary but make sure to write it all down or else you'll just forget it.

Spanish IB 1st. year

Read "clausulas adverbiales y el subjuntivo" from packet again, if necessary, and do at least two different examples from each exercise. You should do as many as it takes to understand them. As you are going to have to write a film review of "El Laberinto del Fauno" it would be a good idea to write down what has happened so far so that you don't forget (en español, por supuesto). You will need special vocabulary for a film review. Check out the internet for some authentic examples.
